Funds totaling $30,000 were recently received by the School of Pharmacy, the School of Education and the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences.

  • Dr. Jamie McConaha, School of Pharmacy, $2,000, from the Pennsylvania Department of Health passed through Tobacco Free Allegheny, Inc., to support smoking cessation classes.
  • Dr. Philip E. Auron, Bayer School of Natural and Environment Sciences, $10,000, from the Interleukin Foundation, for the specific support of research being conducted by Ph.D. biology student David A. Macar.
  • The School of Education, $18,000, from The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, to support the New Teacher Induction phase of the STEM Teaching Fellowship program.
