Spring Semester Events Remain Virtual; Existing Planning Procedures Continue

Since March 2020, the Duquesne community has transitioned most in-person events to virtual events so the University can continue to celebrate milestones, help students reach their goals and promote the work of faculty and staff.

In cooperation with health and safety guidelines on campus and in the greater community, virtual events will continue in place of in-person events for the spring semester.

University Conference and Event Services (CES) shares the following reminders for campus event planners:

  • All events must be registered through 25Live.
  • A CES event coordinator will work with planners to discuss logistics; choose and secure an appropriate virtual event platform; pre-record event components as needed; evaluate ADA compliance; and record and stream the event as needs indicate.
  • In partnership with CES, the Division of Marketing and Communications will work with planners to ensure that the event follows University brand standards and that any print or digital promotional needs are fulfilled.

The University continues to monitor the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and will amend guidelines as needed. For more information, contact CES at universityevents@duq.edu.
