2021 Virtual Human Rights Film Series Continues with ‘G is for Gun’
Duquesne’s 14th annual Virtual Human Rights Film Series: Race, Rights, Responsibilities continues with a virtual screening of G is for Gun, another film inspiring conversation about the most critical human rights issues facing the world today.
G is for Gun will stream virtually Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. The documentary film explores the highly controversial trend of armed faculty and staff in K-12 schools. In addition, featured speaker and Pittsburgh Police Detective Joseph Bielevicz will discuss the public’s role in making decisions affecting their schools and their communities.
Additional film screenings include:
- Tuesday, Feb. 17: Death By Design exposes the international electronics industry and shows how even the tiniest devices have deadly environmental and health costs.
- Thursday, Feb. 25: A Dangerous Idea: Eugenics, Genetics and the American Dream focuses on the radical reassessment of the meaning, use and misuse of gene science.
