Celebrate the Spiritans During Heritage Week

Faculty and staff are invited to walk alongside the Division of Mission and Identity to learn more about Duquesne’s Catholic Spiritan tradition and history during Heritage Week 2021, which kicks off Monday, Sept. 27, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 2.

Photo of 3 female students with pumpkinsThis annual event celebrates Duquesne’s Spiritan beginnings, the University’s anniversary on Oct. 1 and the feast day of congregation founder Claude Poullart des Places on Oct. 2.

While this year’s activities return to an in-person format, individuals are reminded they must wear masks at all events held indoors. Most events require registration.

  • History of Duquesne Scavenger Hunt
  • DU Tumbler Decorating
  • Heritage Week Lunch
  • Agape Latte speaker series, featuring Honors College Director Dr. Kathleen Roberts, who will present On Cancer, Cats and COVID
  • Succulent Pot Painting—Living the Mission by Caring for Creation
  • University Birthday Party
  • Feast Day Fall Festival
  • Outdoor Feast Day Mass.
