The Center for Community-Engaged Teaching and Research is hosting the Virtual Campus to Community Excursion in the Hill from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26. The event will share stories of the people who live, work and worship in the Hill, information about the neighborhood’s history and details on its exciting plans for the future.

“The tour is a great opportunity to learn more about one of Duquesne’s closest neighbors,” said Dr. Jessica Mann, assistant vice president of community engagement. “We work regularly with members of the Hill community and hope that this tour will encourage the campus community to visit this growing, vibrant neighborhood for its shopping, cultural activities and open green spaces.”

Terri Baltimore, director of Neighborhood Engagement for the Hill House Association and an adjunct faculty member, will serve as the tour guide. Bill Generett, senior vice president of community engagement, will welcome attendees to the virtual tour.

The event reflects Duquesne’s commitment to creating equity and opportunity in the region through educational and cultural activities.

Attendees can register online for the event.
