Register Now for ‘Training Pathways to Professional Success’

Registration is open for upcoming courses offered through the University’s Training Pathways to Professional Success. Learning together, employees can help realize their boldest workplace goals through these training sessions designed to enhance their growth in the workplace.

A full list of sessions and more details are available by signing into DORI and then visiting the Training Programs and Professional Development webpage.

Employees can customize their path and take only the classes they need or set a path to complete all trainings. The Blue Pathway (blue only) is for supervisors and managers, and the Red Pathway (red only) is for administrative support staff and non-managers. Combined trainings are indicated.

The November and December Training Pathways sessions—which include a combination of in-person and Zoom offerings—are:

  • Thursday, Nov. 11, 10 to 11:30 a.m., Leadership Essentials: Influence, Impact and Inspire Others (blue only). In-person training in room 608 of Libermann Hall.
  • Tuesday, Nov.16, 9 to 10:30 a.m., Employment & Payroll Processing (blue only). In-person training in room 608 of Libermann Hall.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 30, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Pathways to Organizational Communication (combined, red and blue). Virtual on Zoom.
  • Friday, Dec. 3, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Managing an Exceptional Multigenerational Team (combined, red and blue). Virtual on Zoom.
  • Monday, Dec. 6, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Pathway to Emotional Intelligence: A Necessary Component to Workplace Success (red only). Virtual on Zoom.
  • Thursday, Dec. 9, 10 to 11:30 a.m., Pathway to Effective Presentation Skills: Design, Deliver & Move Audiences (red only). In-person training in room 608 of Libermann Hall.

Microsoft classes are also being offered in November and December through the New Horizon Computer Learning Center’s platform (virtual on Zoom).

  • Monday, Nov. 15, 9 a.m. to noon, Microsoft Excel 2019 Intermediate: Doing More with Excel Using Formulas, Functions & Charts (virtual and in-person; $50 fee applies)
  • Thursday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to noon, Microsoft Word 2019 Intermediate: Creating Professional-looking Documents (virtual and in-person; $50 fee applies).

All are welcome to attend the following financial education classes in December that PNC will be offering:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 1, 10 to 11 a.m., PNC Bank Presents: Owning Your Own Home: Home Buying and Mortgage Refinance Basics 
  • Tuesday, Dec. 7, 10 to 11 a.m., PNC Bank Presents: Developing a Spending Diet.
