Seybert Involved in Planning for New Catholic High School

Dean David Seybert of the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences is Duquesne’s representative on the Education Planning Commission of the new Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School scheduled to open in Fall 2014.

Dean David Seybert has testified before the House on science education issues.

Seybert, who has been involved with diversity and collaborative efforts on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) instruction with the School of Education as well as several regional high schools, also serves as the liaison commissioner with the school’s curriculum and STEM committees. These committees are acting in advisory capacities in aligning the curriculum and are also engaging with community and corporate partners to introduce innovative engineering and medical science applied experiences for the students.
