Victory Media Names Duquesne a Military Friendly School

Duquesne has been named as a 2014 Military Friendly School by Victory Media, joining just 15 percent of post-secondary educational institutions nationwide to earn the designation.

Victory Media, a Pittsburgh-based, veteran-owned firm that publishes GI Jobs and other periodicals with articles tailored to the interests of members of the armed forces and their families, surveyed more than 12,000 schools and conducted research to determine the results. Earning a place on the list ensures that Duquesne will be listed in Victory Media’s 2014 Guide to Military Friendly Schools.

Schools on the list are not ranked but, according to Victory Media, each school exhibits a willingness to recruit and retain veterans and members of the military as students.

At Duquesne, for example, the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement offers military programs that are designed for veterans and active duty military personnel who seek career advancement or career change.

The auditing firm Ernst & Young LLP verified the survey methodology used to create the Military Friendly Schools list.
