More Than $100,000 Raised in Campus United Way Campaign

Thanks to the generosity and commitment of the campus community, Duquesne exceeded its $85,000 United Way of Allegheny County campaign goal and has raised $104,929.

Overall, 516 employees—or 33 percent—participated and collectively pledged or donated more than $64,000, while many more contributed nearly $7,500 through special events and raffles. In addition, more than $33,000 was donated by 27 leaders who gave at a $1,000 level or higher.

“The United Way is the one agency that addresses the entire range of human service needs in our hometown,” said Dr. Evan Stoddard, associate dean of the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, who chaired this year’s campaign. “My personal thanks go to all those special members of the Duquesne family who helped to build a better community for all through their contributions to the United Way this year.”

Funds raised through the campaign will be used to address critical needs in local communities.
