Annual Walk Helps Make Strides Against Breast Cancer

Breast cancer survivors and supporters gathered to raise awareness and to honor those affected by the disease at the University’s 5th Annual Walk for Breast Cancer on Oct. 9. More than 120 members of the campus community participated in the two-mile walk around campus.

Held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and sponsored by the Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the event benefited the Susan G. Komen Foundation through Duquesne’s United Way campaign.
