Writing Group Forms to Accelerate Academic Publishing

Faculty members looking for a structure to help them advance their community-engaged academic publications now can get assistance and support from a new on-campus group.

The Center for Community-Engaged Teaching and Research (CETR) will meet face-to-face and online to help faculty progress with their community-engaged writing projects.

Based on the Wendy Laura Belcher book, Writing Your Journal Article in 12 Weeks: A Guide to Academic Publishing Success, the group will use a workbook designed to engage in revisions that will develop conference papers, dissertation chapters and unpublished drafts into quality articles.

Sessions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on the following Thursdays:

  • Oct. 1
  • Nov. 12
  • Jan. 14
  • Feb. 11
  • March 10
  • April 7.

To RSVP or for more information, contact the CETR at 412.396.5893.
