Campus Preparing for 2016 Homecoming Weekend

Hundreds of faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends will gather on campus this month to celebrate Now That’s What I Call Duquesne! as the theme of this year’s Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.

Scheduled from Friday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 25, Homecoming will feature a weekend packed with events.

Among the numerous activities are:

• Alumni Poetry Reading, Friday, 4 p.m., Gumberg Library
• Kickoff Party & Trivia Night, Friday, 8 p.m., Red Ring
• Tailgate Lunch, Saturday, 11 a.m., Join President Ken Gormley for lunch under the tent before kickoff
• Duquesne Dukes vs. Kennesaw State, Saturday, Sept. 23, 1 p.m., Rooney Field
• Autumnfest, featuring craft, food and game booths sponsored by student organizations, Saturday, 3 p.m., Academic Walk
• Greek Celebration, Saturday, 5:30 p.m., Power Center
• Battle of the Bands, Saturday, 8 p.m., Union Ballroom
• Farewell Mass, Sunday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m., Duquesne Chapel.
