Duquesne Alumna to Speak at First of This Year’s Libermann Luncheon Series

The popular Libermann Luncheon series, hosted by Spiritan Campus Ministry for faculty and staff, returns on Tuesday, Sept. 20, with a presentation by Duquesne alumna Teresa Madden Harrold.

Harrold, an inner-city school teacher and former member of Teach for America, will share how her faith helped craft her approach to teaching when she presents Teaching As an Act of Justice.

Donations of school supplies—including pocket folders, colored pencils, poster paper, book bags, three ring-binders and non-perishable snacks—are requested to support students at Taylor Allderdice High School.

All luncheons are held at noon in the Africa Room of the Union. Upcoming Libermann Luncheon dates are:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 5
  • Tuesday, Nov. 8
  • Wednesday, Nov. 30
  • Tuesday, Jan. 17
