Founders Week Continues with Luncheon, Music and Evening Prayers

Faculty and staff can still celebrate the many ways the Spiritan mission of service is advanced around the world as Founders Week 2017, To the Ends of the Earth, continues.

A special Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of the Venerable Francis Libermann will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 2, at noon in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. A luncheon featuring Duquesne alumna Dave Jakielo, annual giving assistant director, will follow at 12:45 p.m. in the Africa Room.

A To the Ends of the Earth concert, featuring music from countries where the Spiritans have served, will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the PNC Recital Hall. Local musicians will perform alongside students from the Mary Pappert School of Music.

Founders Week, an annual celebration that honors the legacy, vision and values of Duquesne’s Spiritan founders, will conclude with Vespers on Friday, Feb. 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Trinity Hall Chapel. A Spiritan reception will immediately follow.
