Reminder: Campus Walk to End Breast Cancer Slated

Register now for Duquesne’s eighth annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and to honor breast cancer survivors, and friends and family who have battled or are currently battling the disease.

The two-mile benefit walk is scheduled for noon on Wednesday, Oct. 11, on Academic Walk near the Union. The event is open to all faculty, staff and students. Cost is $20 for employees and $10 for students. Participants who sign up with someone who did not walk in last year’s event pay only $35 for both walkers.

Sponsored by Duquesne and the University’s Theta chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will also feature vendors selling various items to benefit the cause, and participants will also be able to purchase raffle tickets.
