Drop-off boxes throughout campus and the option to give monetary gifts resulted in the following donations, which were recently delivered to Animal Friends:

  • 254 lbs. of dog food
  • 105 lbs. of cat food
  • 63 bags/boxes of dog treats
  • 7 bags of cat treats
  • Dozens of toys, collars and leashes
  • $500 in financial donations.

Seth Beckman, dean of the Mary Pappert School of Music and a member of the Animal Friends Board of Directors, co-chaired Paws on the Bluff with former Student Government Association President James Daher with the help of Duquesne faculty, staff and students.

“We are so grateful for the support of everyone who contributed to this very worthy cause,” said Beckman. “Your contributions not only help animals, but also their families, providing much-needed support to people who may not be able to care for both their animals and themselves. That is a true embodiment of the Duquesne mission of community engagement and helping others.”
