Nursing’s Inaugural Carfang Conference a Success

The School of Nursing is celebrating the successful launch of its new biennial Carol Carfang Nursing & Healthcare Ethics Conference.

Hosted Feb. 28 through March 2 in Clearwater, Fla., Advancing Ethical Practice: Exploring the Gray Areas addressed and explored what health care professionals can do to help bring more clarity to situations in the field when ethical dilemmas arise. Nearly 150 professionals were in attendance.

“The conference really exceeded my expectations,” said Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow, dean of nursing. “We had excellent speakers and very thoughtful discussions. It was very well-received.”
