‘Wine Into Water’ Event Will Benefit Water Access in Tanzania

An upcoming social event hosted by the Division of Mission and Identity will help raise funds to improve water access for Tanzanians affected by a shortage of clean water.

Wine Into Water Event

Wine Into Water will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Union’s Africa Room.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Pure Thirst, a student group whose mission is to work with the Olkokola community in northern Tanzania to provide clean water while teaching students how to be agents of positive change. Members of the organization will share information they gathered about the water crisis during their trip to Tanzania this past summer.

Tickets are $20 and include appetizers and two glasses of wine from local wineries. Individuals must be 21 to register for the event.
