Duquesne to Host National Conference to Promote Life, Peace and Justice

The Consistent Ethic of Life student group is hosting a national conference focusing on various human dignity issues and promoting peace.

The Rehumanize Conference for Life, Peace and Justice will be held from Friday, Oct. 12, to Sunday, Oct. 14, in the Union Ballroom. Topics will include the criminal justice system, health care, the death penalty and disability advocacy, among others.

Before the conference’s main events, a release party for Life Matters Journal: Create/Encounter is scheduled from 8 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the Union Ballroom. The celebration will include an exploration of many issues of life, dehumanization, violence, rehumanization and human dignity through poetry and prose readings, musical performances and artist presentations. The party is free for conference attendees.
