Reminder: Register Now for CCFC’s Visit to the Latino Family Center

Faculty and staff can still RSVP online by the end of today, Wednesday, March 27, to attend the Center for Catholic Faith and Culture’s upcoming site visit to its University-community partner, the Latino Family Center.

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Building Authentic Relationships in the Community takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2. A bus providing transportation to and from the center will depart Union Circle at 11:15 a.m.

The Latino Family Center is a nonprofit organization that helps Latino families throughout Allegheny County assimilate into life in the United States while remaining connected to each other and their own cultural traditions. The nonprofit is celebrating its 10th year of service.

Participants in Won’t You Be My Neighbor will have the opportunity to meet with staff, tour the agency and learn about two of the center’s primary initiatives: Parents as Teachers Home Visiting Program and Immigrant Services and Connections.

A box lunch also will be provided for participants. Space is limited. Visit www.duq.edu/neighbor2019 to RSVP.
