University Events Celebrate Black History Month

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion has partnered with various University organizations to host events throughout February in honor of Black History Month.

Events include:

Monday, Feb. 3, to Friday, Feb. 7: Teenie Harris Photo Exhibit, Gumberg Library, Popular Reading Room, fourth floor.

Tuesday, Feb. 4: ODI Appreciation Day, 11:30 a.m., Office of Diversity and Inclusion, 106 Union.

Thursday, Feb. 6: Teenie Harris Archive Presentation, 3:30 to 5 p.m., Gumberg Library, Popular Reading Room. Presented by Charlene Foggie-Barnett, archives specialist, Carnegie Museum of Art.

Tuesday, Feb. 11: No Agendas Allowed: Open Discussion, 11:30 a.m., Office of Diversity and Inclusion, 106 Union.

Thursday, Feb. 13: Black History Month Series: Dear White People, 9 p.m., NiteSpot Lounge, Union. Sponsored by Ebony Women for Social Change.

Monday, Feb. 17: Restorative Yoga, 6 p.m., 205 Power Center. Sponsored by Black Student Union.

Tuesday, Feb. 18: Self-Empowerment Hour, 11:30 a.m., Office of Diversity and Inclusion, 106 Union. Presented by Dr. Anthony Kane, Office of Residence Life.

Black Love Day, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Africa Room, Union. Presented by Black Student Union.
