Red Masquers Present ‘Savage Lands: A Colonial Comedy’

Duquesne’s Red Masquers acting troupe will perform Savage Lands: A Colonial Comedy under the direction of Associate Professor of Theater Arts John E. Lane Jr.

The show will run from Thursday, Feb. 20, through Saturday, Feb. 29, in the Genesius Theater.

Written by Pittsburgh playwright Timothy Ruppert, Savage Lands is set in colonial Schenectady and centers around the lives of sisters Penelope and Virginia, who struggle to survive following the disappearance of Penelope’s husband. Penelope must decide whether to stay in New York or sail home to England. Her decision is complicated by the arrival of a murderous criminal mastermind, an inheritance letter from England and the handsome Col. Dallas.
