The awardees were announced during the library’s April 23 virtual open house, held in part to share and celebrate the hard work of Gumberg staff in providing many online library services and resources.

Library student employee Alivia Montgomery, a dual major in the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts and the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, was named the Gumberg Library Student Endowed Scholarship winner. The scholarship was founded by Gumberg employees to recognize student workers’ contributions to meeting the library’s mission.

Library assistant Rosa Stoffa received the 2020 Gumberg Library Staff Excellence Award for making meaningful contributions to the library mission. This award was created to acknowledge excellence, initiative and creativity in service. Stoffa was nominated by her colleagues.
