University Leases St. Martin’s Residence Hall for 2020-2021 Academic Year

Duquesne has leased St. Martin Hall from Radnor Property Group LLC and Harrison Street for the 2020-2021 academic year to help the University’s plans to de-densify campus in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The University recently closed on the transaction to transfer St. Martin’s to Radnor and Harrison Street through an agreement similar to the one completed in May 2018, when Duquesne transferred Brottier Hall to the two entities.

The St. Martin partnership includes planned renovations of the property—now set to begin in 2021—for the primary benefit of Duquesne students. The project will provide an enhanced, high-quality living experience for students living in St. Martin.

The new site will be open for regular operations by mid-August, depending on state regulations in light of the pandemic.

The Chatham Center location comprises approximately 7,000-square feet. It is nearly twice the size of the previous location at St. Martin’s Hall. The increased size will provide expanded capacity for Duquesne students and employees seeking child care.
