Center for African Studies to Host Global Public Health Speaker Series

A new virtual speaker series sponsored by the Center for African Studies will focus on global public health concerns.

The Center for African Studies Global HealthMembers of the Duquesne community are invited to attend the Père Jacques Laval C.S.Sp., Global Public Health Speaker Series on Thursday, Oct. 8, from noon to 2 p.m.

Dr. Shafik Dharamsi, dean and professor in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso, will discuss health care disparities, engagement programs and understanding roles in global communities.

Faculty and staff are asked to RSVP to The Père Jacques Laval C.S.Sp., Global Public Health Speaker Series by Wednesday, Oct. 7. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants.
