What have Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow, Rosanna Henry, Sue Williams and Thomas White been up to?

Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow, dean and professor in the School of Nursing, delivered the virtual presentation Online Nursing Faculty, Virtual Classrooms and Clinical Simulation: Expanding Boundaries to Meet Global Healthcare Needs Sept. 21 as part of the 13th Annual International Research Conference, A New Era of Nursing Education: Challenges and Opportunities International Conference. The conference, hosted by Seoul National University, supports the development of the theory and technology behind nursing science and develops the policy system for effective public health management as well as the competence of nursing researchers to promote international academic exchange.

The School of Nursing’s Rosanna Henry, assistant dean for clinical skills and simulation education, and instructor Sue Williams presented Simulation Programs Respond to COVID-19: Using Simulation to Teach Clinical Deterioration Response: Transitioning to a Virtual Format to the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Aug. 3.

Thomas White, University archivist and curator of special collections, has authored and released a new book titled The Witch of the Monongahela: Folk Magic in Early Western Pennsylvania. The book is the first full study of historical witchcraft in western Pennsylvania, focusing on the history and legends of the most well-known witch, Mary “Old Moll” Derry.
