Virtual ‘Justice & Equity Colloquium Series’ Starts Thursday

The School of Education invites the Duquesne community to learn together during the virtual two-day Justice & Equity Colloquium Series.

The Impact of Trauma Sensitivity on Post-Pandemic Classrooms and Local Communities will be held from 3:05 to 4:20 p.m. Thursday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 30. The series is sponsored by Project Hope and The McElhattan Foundation.

The following speakers will delve into the impact that trauma sensitivity has on post-pandemic classrooms and local communities:

  • Dr. Wayne Centrone, physician and founder and executive director of Health Bridges International
  • Dr. Lisa Lopez Levers, professor in the School of Education’s Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership
  • The Rev. Paul Abernathy, an Orthodox Christian priest who is chief executive officer of the Neighborhood Resilience Project.
