What have Dr. Richard Zoucha and Dr. Cynthia Walters been up to?

Dr. Richard Zoucha, professor and chair of advanced role and the Ph.D. program in the School of Nursing, has been appointed senior editor of the Journal of Transcultural Nursing.

The Journal of Transcultural Nursing is a peer-reviewed publication that provides a forum for health care professionals in various disciplines to discuss issues related to the advancement of knowledge in the area of culturally congruent health care. The journal encourages contributions from international researchers, practitioners and theoreticians about the relationship between culture and health care. Zoucha’s efforts in the health care field emphasize the need for working toward a horizon-expanding education that reaches the larger world.

Dr. Cynthia Walters, clinical associate professor in the School of Nursing, has been accepted into the inaugural Global Academy of Holistic Nursing. A teacher-scholar who has helped students discover new possibilities in their major, Walters will be inducted on Saturday, June 26.

The purpose of the academy is to cultivate a network of holistic nursing scholars who have shown leadership and commitment to expanding sustainable transcultural and integrative caring-healing processes that affect global health care transformation.
