Tis the Season to Celebrate ‘Christmas at Duquesne’

Faculty, staff and students are invited to kick off the holiday season with the Mary Pappert School of Music’s annual Christmas at Duquesne concert.

Free and open to the public, the performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Union Ballroom. It will feature the musical stylings of the school’s talented students performing a wide variety of Christmas carols and classic tunes.

WQED-FM on-air personality Anna Singer will emcee this year’s concert, which will feature:

  • The Duquesne Symphony Orchestra, directed by Daniel Meyer
  • The Voices of Spirit & Pappert Chorale with director Dr. Caron Daley
  • The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Mike Tomaro
  • The Brass Ensemble with director Dr. James Gourlay.

Christmas at Duquesne offers an opportunity for the University community not just to connect in the spirit of the holiday season, but also to see how faculty and students work and learn together.

The concert will be livestreamed from the event’s website.
