Pharm.D. Class of 2021 Get Their White Coats

Nearly 200 students marked their entrance into their first year of professional study as pharmacists at the School of Pharmacy’s 15th annual White Coat Ceremony.

Students entering their third year of Duquesne’s six-year Pharm.D. program were presented with white coats that they will wear during their laboratory and experiential education. In addition, the students each received a School of Pharmacy pin and recited a pledge of professionalism during the Aug. 20 ceremony.

The keynote address was delivered by Chad Hildebrand, chief executive officer and founder of Remedy Hike, a new well-being initiative that seeks to improve people’s health by connecting them with nature and each other. Hildebrand is a 2005 graduate of the School of Pharmacy.
