CCFC Calls for Part-Time Faculty Mission Micro-Grant Applications

The Center for Catholic Faith and Culture (CCFC) is offering mission micro-grants to support part-time faculty in any discipline with projects that reflect and contribute to Duquesne’s mission and identity.

WHAT COULD DO WITH A $500 MISSION GRANT? Sponsor a student experience to foster cultural awareness Attend a conference that supports or develops your scholarly interests Host a guest speaker on sustainability issues Develop a class project that cultivates community engagement

Applications are due Monday, March 16, for the $500 mission grants, which the CCFC is offering in cooperation with the Office of the Provost. Up to four grants will be awarded. To apply visit duq.edu/mission-grant.

Designed to support scholarly, curricular and professional development opportunities that align with the University’s Spiritan mission, these grants are available to part-time faculty in any discipline who:

  • Hold an advanced degree in their discipline
  • Have taught at least four courses at Duquesne in the last three years; summer session teaching may be included.

Previous mission micro-grant recipients are welcome to apply as long as they meet the reporting requirement for the previous grant and are seeking funding for a different project. Learn more about the micro-grant online.

Awards will be announced April 6, 2020. For questions, contact Grant Committee Chair Dr. Kathleen Roberts at robertskg@duq.edu.
